I did cringe when I heard the Colonials referred to as the Colonels. But then again, I once heard Hannah Storm refer to Ohio State as the "Buccaneers."

And somebody tell Michael Savage it's not Jerry San-doo-sky.

Because if I have to hear about it in one more CC newscast where
Dravosburg is pronounced "DRAH vuhs burg", I think my head's gonna explode.

Just had to add this from 104.7s news this morning: a twofer in the same storyline:
The story was about Chartiers Cemetery in Carnegie with the Ch pronounced CH instead of SH and of course the New York pronunciation of Carnegie. LOL

During Saturday's Pitt IMG radio broadcast they GOT THE HALFTIME SCORE WRONG
every single time during the halftime show.

Instead of pretending to have a news operation, why on earth doesn't 104.7 partner with WPXI or WTAE?

FM 104.7 uses WTAE-TV newscast audio.

So why don't they just have WTAE actually provide the talent as well?

They might have to pay the talent for live appearances. Also, it is far easier to edit news sound into a newscast than to arrange for local newscasts fed from a TV station that may not now be equipped for such newscasts. Put another way, WPGB's Cleveland crew probably rolls tape on the Channel 4 newscasts and edits accordingly.
