A friend of mine at Clear Channel/Modesto tells me that Clear Channel is considering selling KWSX-1280 Stockton if they get a good offer. News/Talk just doesn't seem to do well in Stockton, and they decided recently to eliminate the "K-6" name and just call themselves "K-5" Modesto And Stockton. Clear Channel has been doing cutbacks with their Modesto/Stockton cluster. I don't know what format would do well on 1280 as all formats have failed going back to mid 1980's Joseph Gamble Stations days. I know Stockton has a large Asian community, maybe an All Asian format?
