Clear Channel Cuts in Miami?

Does anybody know if any notable air talent was laid off by Clear Channel today?

Jen Wylde went from BIG, which is only notable in the fact that it now leaves the station with 6 hours of Paul & Young Ron, 1 good shift of Doc Reno, and the rest of the day with the same rotation that Brie Miller seems to think is good for those who you who want to hear the same Zeppelin, Stones, etc. tracks that you did the previous year and a half. Say what you want about Jen Wylde, but at least she was a warm body in the CC compound - untalented, yes, but at least a live person.

JMP was let go from the 12th sports station in the market, because there is no better time to get rid of your in-studio Heat host than during the NBA Playoffs when your team is still alive.

Also, various members of the WIOD news staff were let go, including reporters Wayne Roustan, Jon Leavitt, and traffic anchor Don Anthony.

Yet somehow the news directors and program directors all stayed. Hmmm... well, what else would you expect when the idiots continue to run the asylum.

And people wonder why radio is struggling. Until you realize that your audience puts a premium on talent over "warm body," the downward spiral will continue.

I heard the Beat (WMIB) has one person in programming. The midday lady. So does that mean Markie D was let go? Can anybody confirm?

Just wait until July 30, 2009 when the current CC severance package setup ends.
