Well over the past couple of weeks Clear Channel has been putting the Ax to management positions and a couple of markets.
Should the folks over at the Ghetto Penthouse be updating thier resume's?

I hear Quinn and Cantara refer to thier studies as the Ghetto Penthouse and not the Ghetto Plex. Not sure when when it was upgraded. ???

Kenny I swear you invented the term "ghettoplex".

As far as the morning show changes, these are both heritage shows. Granted nothing is forever in radio but CC would have to tread very carefully here. Rhode Islanders don't like change. Lite at least waited until they had a back-up plan in place by replacing Gary DeGraide with David Jones. They knew enough to go with someone known locally. A morning Coast change that rubs people the wrong way will send them over to Lite. HJY may be another matter since the station has no format competition in Providence. I don't think any ownership group is all that concerned with preserving heritage, but I don't see now as a good time for a change...especially with Coast seeming to aim more directly at Lite. I even heard Brown Eyed Girl on Coast & if that isn't a direct response to Lite's playing 60s music I don't know what is.

Whatever it is called I can almost assume that there is nt a radiostion in the Country that the Jox refer thier offices to "Ghetto" Studios. Not a slam but your probably right on the Ghetto plex thing.

Well it's The Ghetto place for a reason. Is there a worse area to put a radio station? They've got a nice view of the city and all.... but I wouldn't want to walk around that area at night. I've been to the station a grand total of One time. Even at Noon the place gave me the creeps.
 
When Jaxon and the Pharmacist were doing afternoons on 103.7 WRX, before it switched from classic rock to FNX, they referred to the building as the GhettoPlex. When WRX was off the air and the rest of the ClearChannel operations moved into that building, Paul and Al began referring to the place as the Ghetto Penthouse. Either way, it's in the ghetto.
