Clear Channel/Dayton Casualties

Here are the casualties in Dayton so far :'(
Allen Rantz-WMMX Mix 107.7 Middays/MD
Paul Ellis-WLQT Lite 99.9 Mornings
Bob Sweeney-WDSJ Smooth Jazz 106.5 Mornings
Is it true that Smooth Jazz is going all network in January 2007? Also 3-7P IS Butch Brown's timeslot on Smooth Jazz 106.5

From what I understand in actually listening to the station everybody's gone as of December 4. So no surprises for the air staff there. Last day is December 1 for midday guy, Butch Brown and the overnight guy. Morning and evening jocks already gone. So the network is apparently already on and didn't wait until January. All the jocks announced for the network already are being promoted as starting Monday Dec. 4 on sj106.5. Weekends on the station had same jocks in different slots so network will be on this weekend too more than likely since they all leave Dec. 1.

alans613, what does "all network" mean?

???

"All Network" meaning satelitte-based shows, i.e. Dave Koz and Ramsey Lewis. This basically means all shows are beamed down from the satelitte and no local air talent on the station.

Hi, all. I was a casualty at The Brew in Columbus, Ohio last week. Have all the "vacancies" in Dayton and Cincy been reassigned?

Doubt CC will be hiring much after the bloodletting. But don't let that stop you from sending packages, there's been a lot of change in the Cincinnati market outside of their recent moves.
