Another radio board, Spanish language radionotas.com, reports today...

Translation:

Among other news that we hear this week is that La Preciosa will be in Phoenix. No, don't get confused, it's not me (reference to Preciosa meaning "pretty one")... it's about a new station from Clear Channel, which this week will start broadcasting with the format that has done so well for them in other places and is called La Preciosa, so, my Phoenix friends, you will enjoy this progrmming of oldies and congratulations!!!.

Truth? Fiction? Which signal?

If this is truth, my educated guess would be Kiss. The other CC signals seem to be strong and/or heritage money makers. Kiss has a morning show that is in flux. Kid's return seems to be uncertain. Plus, despite recent ratings gains, Kiss still caters to a young audience. I suppose the powers at the top would have to wonder, "Can we make more money with a real money making Hispanic adult demo, rather than continuing to try to eke out a living with a station that delivers only young adult demos without really dominating the target audience.?"

If it's fiction, well, never mind.

I was wondering why this whole Kid thing is dragging out so long and now it makes sense. Why hire a new show if you're going to change the format in a month? If they were going to keep the format they would have made a move one way or another with the morning show.
