my sources tell me at least one of these will flip to a new format in 2006---WJJZ, WIOQ, WSNI. anyone have any thoughts or info?

I don't know which one is going to switch, but if they do, I hope they adopt the format of the SUNNY CM channel on XM radio. It's the best of WPEN AND SUNNY 104.5 together in one handy dandy format. Of course this won't fly, but we can dream.

I should have said my sources indicate one of those stations MAY flip in 2006.

If they follow what CC has done in Pittsburgh and Minneapolis, Clear Channel will have an FM talker and the Big Talker will get smaller without Rush.

Man those sources are awesome!!! A station in a cluster MAY flip before the calendar year is up! I've never seen such specific dead on accurate sources.I think that the sun may in fact rise tommorow despite rumors to the contrary. Also sometime between now and October I feel there may be baseball games at Citizen Bank Park. But what do I know. If only I had sources.

whats this from urbaninsite.com vent

WJJZ will flip before the end of the month! Sunny 104.5 will tweak into a hybrid of the "chill" format CD 101.9 used in NYC.What will 106.1 be???? Will it be a knockoff or the real thing?"Let the music play...."?, "I like the way you move..."?, "Finally It's has happen to me..."?, "Move ya body..."? "Let's get it started...."?,

No no no! No dance, no Movin', no (more) rap...And I thought this board was gonna move AWAY from these close-minded drivel posts and leave them for "the other board".

:eek:the movin' format is yet another idea from a consultant agnecy, in this case, Alan Burns & Assoc.it's a rhythmic dance format that appeals to women in their mid 30's who would have been teens at what ever time movin's creaters envisioned. it actually sounds good. it's not rap the format supoports tunes like ( let the music play, I like the way you move, and so on )Hey Mr. Burns, I'll take my pay now for that lip service.
