How its it possible that they own 9 stations plus a TV station? They own 3 AMs (Fox Sports Radio 1340/1400, KRDU 1130), 6 FMs (B95, 103.7 KRZR, Big Country 102.7, Soft Rock 98.9, Alice 96.7, La Preciosa 92.9), plus a TV station (KGPE/CBS 47). In total its 10 stations, doesn't this exceed FCC limits?

CC no longer owns KGPE 47, KEZL 1400 is licensed to Visalia, And CC has to sell La Preciosa 92.9 because of that reason of having to many stations, 92.9 is in the Aloha Trust to be sold.

Surprised that CC isn't selling KRDU-1130.

I believe its because the maximum FMs an owner can have is 5 FMs.

I believe it also has to do with percentage of coverage, and that's why they are selling a class B FM instead of Class B1 KALZ 96.7.

I will add this is happening in the San Francisco Bay Area as well, Clear Channel has to sell KSJO 92.3, KUFX 98.5 and KCNL 104.9 from San Jose, KNCL has already been sold to Principle Broadcasting.

CC seems to have a News/Talk or Talk Radio Station in almost every market they are in. I am surprised that they don't switch KRDU-1130 to News/Talk if they are keeping that station.

Actually 1340 was News-Talk KKAM sometime before becoming Fox Sports KCBL, not sure if it was CCs property at the time but it was co-owned with KBOS 94.9 before the merger with the other stations.
I don't think Fresno can handle another New/Talk Station with the recent Ratings of KMJ-FM, KYNO 940 and 105.5 The Truth(which doesn't even show up on Arbitron).KMJ 580 simply dominates.

Rush Radio 1130 KRDU? Rush Radio 1340/1400 KCBL/KEZL? I don't see it happening...

KRDU is profitable. Why change a good thing?
You maybe right. Brokered Religious Radio Stations does bring in big bucks. I actually was surprised when CC dropped Religion on KUYL-1280 Stockton 4 years ago.

Unless things have changed, that station is pretty much a cash cow. KRDU has an extremely loyal following among the Mennonite population and they're not shy about supporting the ministries that use KRDU as a broadcast home. The dollars from listeners in Dinuba and Reedley to the ministries far outweighs that from Fresno and Visalia.
