Clear Channel gives in, syndicates Leo

Best news I've heard all day.

http://www.twit.tv/2007/01/26/kfi_radio_show_is_being_syndicated

I'm pleased to announce that Premiere Radio Networks - the biggest radio syndicator in the US - has picked up my KFI radio show for syndication. We're signing up affiliates now, so ask your local talk radio station to give Premiere a call. KFI listeners: the show will continue exactly as always. There just will be a few more people listening in.

I'll stick with the TwIT podcast

Agreed ! I just hope Premier doesn't make him bag the podcast or add in all the currently-deleted commercials. Nothing better than a nice 95-minute KFI TechGuy instead of enduring the bloated broadcast with an additional 85 minutes of commercials, faux-news, and traffic reports.

Here's what he said.

Premiere will be taking over the serving of the KFI podcast (along with the editing) but we've already agreed that they will be free.

An interesting twist is that they want to offer a variety of podcasts, including by topic, question by question, etc, and download and streaming versions. I think it will offer you a much wider choice.

Handel OTL is Premiere and KFI podcasts him. Leo will be a similar deal, with the "local" feel for KFI remaining. BTW, the ONLY way to listen to HOTL is the podcast, now available Saturdays rather than Monday. The live show is unlistenable with all the crap they throw in.
