Saw a link to http://www.clearchannelmusic.com/hdradio on another site and I scrolled down and found what Clear Channel will be running on HD radio in Philly and here it is:

WJJZ-FM - AAA/Adult Alternative
WUSL-FM - Xtreme Hip-Hop
WIOQ-FM - Urban
WDAS-FM - R&B Love Songs
WSNI-FM - Soft AC/Standards

> WJJZ-FM - AAA/Adult Alternative

> WDAS-FM - R&B Love Songs
> WSNI-FM - Soft AC/Standards

LOL at Q102 doing "Urban". That's gotta be a typo.

Re: Greater Media HD in Philly

Just noticed this on R&R:

Greater Media/Philadelphia's HD2 stations will include Rocker 93.3 WMMR's "WMMaRchives." Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK will present more classic rock on "WMGK Deep Trax," and Adult Hits 95.7 WBEN will offer Rhythmic Adult Contemporary on "Club Ben."

It's Hurban, according to the press release.

Oh, thank God. [/SARCASM]

Perhaps they want to see if they get any response to it?

How is the coverage for HD radio? I'm from the Reading, PA area. Will the HD radio signals reach this area? I'm under the impression that they should be received on a home stereo, but will be on and off with a car stereo. Thoughts?

Pure Rap joints, censored(Of course).

By what stretch of the imagination? It's smooth jazz, not AAA. Not that there's anything wrong with either.

I'm interested in when CBS radio will do this. I wonder what will get? Lets see Maybe a all music YSP again? Maybe a real oldies for wogl?

Not looking good for the y100 fans. I would've guessed that MMR or maybe even Q102 would have an Alternative rock station, but looks like a no. If they can't get any 2nd channel in this market, what chance is there any station will make that its main format?

I understand Q102 doing an Hurban format, but I would've liked an encore format instead. Encore is ofcoarse a format that would replay yesterdays top hits. So I guess top40 from the last 2 or 3 years.

94's HD-2 will be full time Alternative.
98's HD-2 will be full time 70s

As someone posted elsewhere: the 70s on 98 doesn't make much sense, at least to me. 98 is about half 70s now, and all 70s for several hours on Sundays.

You ain't going to hear any HD radio on an analog radio, except annoying IBOC trash. You need an HD radio which costs hundreds of dollars.
______________

Kind of dumb, they should do 50s and 60s oldies, or at least focus on that.

WOGL HD2 wold be better off as 50's and 60's Oldies.

The HD2 on CBS' Dallas Oldies Station is an all Beatles format.
Edited by Danfm on 01/22/06 03:21 PM.
