Clear Channel - how much longer?

OK I know a good bit about the on-air side of radio, but nothing really about how the financials work. However, I've got to ask - how much longer will Clear Channel be able to avoid bankruptcy? Again, just from my view, it seems they would have gone in to it before Citadel. The subject of a CC bankruptcy has been going on all year. Are they able to get by because of Premiere and the outdoor advertising divisions, which may not be hurting as badly as the radio division?

I'd love to hear insight. Like I said, I'm no economist.

I think you hit the nail on the head! Clear Channel has some very good cash-flowing operations and have managed to shed some of the junk. Consistent cash flow from some of their larger operations is where the value that keeps the wolves at bay.

So far it looks like CCU has been able to negotiate their debts and payments to the banks on the fly, which gives them more maneuvering room than if they had remained a publically traded company. Now they can negotiate directly with the new owners of Clear Channel directly; the banks.
