Clear Channel Job Cuts - Nashville Impact?

Any word on how the Clear Channel job cuts will affect the Nashville cluster? I live in Georgia, but vacationed in Nashville toward the end of '08 and took the time to listen to a number of stations there in Music City. Came away pretty impressed with Big 98 WSIX, 101.1 The Beat Jamz, and Rock 105.9. (Also took some time to check out the Cumulus stations, too - here at home I"m always flipping the dial cause I like a lot of variety). Thanks for any replies!

Don't know about Nashville,TN but Memphis is getting hit hard.

Probably should have posted this question on the Nashville board; all the Nashville people post there.

Referencing what FUN said, you can check the Memphis board for a thread already posted there about what is going on in Mempho.

We can talk about the down sizing of CC and others but there is much to be said about working for a smaller group or even a mom and pop station. While the pay may not be what CC is/was paying, most of those jobs in these stations are more rewarding and gratifying plus they offer a more stable environment. They seem to weather the storms better but the sacrafice is you're going to earn fewer coins.

"Fewer coins"?!?!?! How about almost NO coins! I've worked for several of these "mom and pops," and there hasn't been one yet that HASN'T tried to screw me over! I left one station specifically because I got sick and tired of working 50+ hours a week for only 40 hours pay!
