Clear Channel management under investigation

doubt any govt agency will do anything to help eradicate the evil empires...$$$$$$. KKR, though, have they ever succeeded in anything they touched? Could be a G@dsend....

Kohlberg Kravis Roberts succeeds at damn near everything they do... but remember, their definition of success is they make money off it. If they can buy CC for less money than they can sell the stations for, they will do so in a heartbeat. And make money off it.

I have been involved, at a distance, on two KKR deals. They have a VERY mixed track record. You need to restudy the facts.
KKR generally goes in, with good intentions, but they are to multilayered in management and get involved in deals that require
more effort and expertise than they put into it. They are a godsend for CC's ownership. They pay more than they should in
most deals. Whether they can spinoff and profit on a market by market basis, depends totally on what they agree to pay.
Should be interesting. How many other buyers can you think of that could pull a CC purchase off at the prices CC owners
want. Hint ---- watch Cumulus.

General Electric could just write a check out of petty cash for the whole company! And would sell off any television stations that got in the way of the deal. This does not mean that they are interested in buying the company either! But they have the cash to do the deal if they choose to do it! Now that would be a deal to watch unfold as the mice deserted the ship.
