I can only hope that when this cluster is free of the chains of its current slave master, that new ownership will correct the travesty that was made of flipping the legendary Q101 to another frequency, and restore it to its glory day image of being an excellent broadcasting outlet for the Twin States.

"The twins states Number 1...Q101"

The only evidence I have that a sale is in the works is that new TOH liners are running, and none say "...a Clear Channel station." It doesn't take a genius to put two and two together.

That means absolutely zero, in regard to WJDQ. The words "a Clear Channel station" have not been in the TOH or the Legal ID in almost a year. The former PD did not want them there, for various reasons. Don't think too much into something that really means N-O-T-H-I-N-G.

Damage, it can be repaired...it's what has happened that hurts.

1- Revert the frequency to 101.3FM

Not going to happen. Sorry.

2- Get the programing straight/ live and local jocks, abd ones that represent the feel and vibe Q101 held.[\quote]

I'm intrigued... what's wrong with the jocks that they have now, outside of KKITM? Are you that upset that there are two voicetrackers on that radio station?

4-the imaging, bring back the jingles that positioned the station at the top. Revert the logo to the Classic Q101 style.[\quote]

Again, I'm intrigued... what's your problem with the imaging?

Patience, in regard to the jingles... that's all I can tell you. ;)

Clear Channel is still running the show with the Meridian cluster. And, despite the rumors and street talk, it's business as usual. I do not work in that building. I do know a bunch of the folks there. And, they are a hard-working group and really deserved the good book. Scotty Ray & Debbie were gladly picked up by CC and the result in this debut book for them, Ken, Jay and the MISS 101 crew is nothing short of STELLAR. Nobody's trying to take anything away from the urban station either. Kudos to them for their solid showing once again.

I'm sure this board will be among the first to hear if and when CC signs a deal with a suitor...as an LMA or purchase. But as I said, from firsthand knowledge, it's business as usual at CC-Meridian.

What you just stated is why I hate threads that don't have any fact i.e. sold? but not sold? Who the heck knows at this point in time.

For that matter, who knows about the future of one or more of the radio stations?
