Clear Channel Nashville now streaming in HD2

At around 5 this evening I went to clear channel's HD2 web site at:
http://www.clearchannelmusic.com/hdradio and found that Nashville's HD2 stations are now streaming. Apparently they had just started streaming because they were adjusting the audio. WNRQ wasn't in stereo at first. I think the audio quallity is good.

I listened to WSIX, WUBT and WNRQ. I liked the Vinyl Vineyard as it is listed for WNRQ. On air it is called the vault. I liked the Smooth Jazz or Smooth Beats format as it is called on air for 101.1. I didn't know that Santana was considered smooth jazz. I listened to a few minutes of the new country stream on WSIX but haven't listened to the new top forty stream from WRVW.

It will be interesting to see what's out there when all of the companies in Nashville put theirr HD2 streams on. Of course not every company will stream their HD2 broadcasts on the internet. Wonder if we'll have any duplicated formats?

Seal is also Jazz! Nice touch. Glad to see these stations are finally on the list. Real question, when does
WSIX add ARATT (All Romer All The Time?) ::)

WSIX & WUBT may be streaming HD2s on the Internet, but neither one is broadcasting it on the air. At least not at enough power to reach Pleasant View. (that would be a tough trick for WUBT - with transmitter over in Robertson Co. they really blast in here)

WRVW is indeed HD, though right now their HD2 is broadcasting silence. (their HD1 is working fine. HD2 has worked in the past. Between each song they had a couple of teenaged girls talking about some unrelated subject, then some guy would say "Boom", presumably that is the name of the station.)

WNRQ-HD2 does seem to be working OK. I think that may be where the duplication comes in... as it seems at least so far awfully close to what Lightning 100 does, and not that far off from the World Cafe on WPLN's HD2. Amusingly.. the PAD on WNRQ-2 is announcing the song about a minute before it actually starts playing - you get to see what they're going to play next!

well i've been listening to wrvw hd2 and they need to work out some kinks. there are two songs playing at the time after every two or three song.

The WUBT HD and HD-2 have been on since 9/28. WSIX is not on yet, but equipment has been ordered. Chris is in negotiations on the ARATT format :)

Quite frankly I am dissapointed in the 105.9 HD2 station. Perhaps more tweaking is in the works, but what I heard was softer seventies hits such as "Maggie May" being played.

I was expecting a full spectrum playlists typical of a Deepcuts type format. That is the format is it not?

I do not know if this means anything, but I spent some more time listening to the 105.9 HD2 station. As far as today's listening session is concerned, I think the 105.9 HD2 station sounded more consistent with the Deep Tracks classic rock format heard on some other stations. WCSX in Detroit has a really good Deep Cut rock station. 105.9 could certainly model it's station after that station. As of now, way too many softer seventies rock hits such as "Peaceful Easy Feeling".

I heard Gypsy by the Moody Blues and that certainly is a step in the right direction.

If programmers want people to invest in these expensive HD2 radios, they must offer a product that can offer music programs that are deeper than regular run of the mill stations in terms of songs and artists. These station must not sound like standard FM stations IMO.

I know it is early in the game, but over a period time I hope 105.9 will tweak this format!

When I surfed around the site I found that the same song was playing in each city. Another words all Deep Cuts or Smooth Jazz or whatever were on the same exact song. Must be coming off a bird?

Ohhhhhhh the suspense is killing me! How is it being delivered? When I clicked around the "smooth jazz" stations, every one was on the same tune in the same spot of the tune.
