Clear Channel no longer Webcasts all of its HD2 stations

Clear Channel used to have a web site which posted links to online streams of its HD2 stations in all markets. One of my favorites was the Vinyl Vineyard heard on WPYX-HD2 Albany, NY. This stopped about a week ago. Now there is a sit http://www.pyx106.com/cc-common/hdradio/ which give streams for only 4 streams which I assume I heard on several HD2 stations. They are Real Oldies, Smooth Jazz, e-rockster and New Country. Apparently this is a cost cutting move.

Ya know I was posting about this the other day. I was wondering who streamed which HD streams. Apparently there doesn't seem to be a comprehensive/updated list of what stations are streamin.

They don’t program anything. HD radio stations are nothing but dusty old computers in closets. Nothing but jukeboxes that costs pretty near nothing too.

BTW, a good friend of mine who works for a Clear Channel cluster in Ohio was telling me yesterday that no one there; and that includes management, talent, sales and support staff, owns an HD Radio. A few, including himself, has satellite radio.

The only one who has an HD Radio among the employees is the engineer who needs it to monitor their HD signals (the cluster's four FM's are in HD).

Not exactly a ringing endorsement for HD Radio when even industry pros won't bother owning one.

And when you stop to think about isn't that pretty much what internet radio is? There are hardly any djs. Although I'm not knocking internet radio.

Why is jockless jukebox music on the radio (or an HD-2) bad, but great when it's on the internet or satellite? ;)
