Job Requirements: The ideal PD will be responsible for all aspects of the sound and programming of WSNI. This includes music, rotations, promotional activity, image, air staff and web site. This person will have the responsibility to motivate and nurture air staff to be the very best within the guidelines of the company and FCC. The ideal candidate would be able to cover an air shift. He/She would also have the ability to create programs and promotions that work with the L.I.M. environment.

Education Requirements: • Solid Selector or Music Selection skills • Solid Prophet computer skills • Ability to multi-task • Ability to lead, listen and create a positive environment • Computer Proficiency • Minimum of 3 years Program Director Experience in at least a top 50 ranked market

Well with CC already owning Q102, power99, and wdas, I guess we can rule out CHR, and urban.

So I guess 104.5 will definitely be one of the following.

Alt Rock, Rock, Talk, Hurban, or Christian.

Hmmm, no country. I guess the rumors on that are now dead. Also sports(poor Julius), and oldies(altough rock might be good enough)

It's not necessarily nuts, it's just major-market radio in 2006.

With no offense intended toward my PD friends, today's major-market program directors are more so traffic cops than station architects. That's what "Regional VPs of Programming" are for now.

I'm afraid the days of a Rick Sklar, a Jay Cook, or a Charlie Van Dyke coming in and changing the world are long gone in the major markets. (Andy Travis's decision as PD to simply walk in on Dr. Johnny Fever's airshift, hand him some rock records, and change the format on his own was unrealistic even back in 1978!)
