After letting go some back office staff last week, apparently they've released Adam Stubbs from Lite 98. Sad, and totally unsurprising.

Lite 98 used to be a great station. With 10 hours off a satelite, what is left? Are they going to give Bill Bevins 6-12 and Kat Simons 12-7? Cox does stuff like that in Tampa, so why not CC in Richmond. Maybe they will VT somebody from another market.

They threw some guy on VT from the CC "Premium Choice" programming.

Sounds like we're talking about cuts of meat and not creative, thoughtful radio broadcasting. But then again, that's not CC's usual forte.

I loved the origional Lite 98 with Scott Lindy and real people nights. It was great after the way EZ-104 was turned into B-103.7 which was more CHR than AC. Too bad. Is Kiss 105.7 doing this kinda cutting too?

Kiss already utilizes syndicated fare in AM and PM drive with Joyner and Baisden. They are local in middays and evenings and even (gasp!) feature a few weekend local DJ's on the web site.

What ticked me off from Radio One recently was letting Mickie Spencer go at Praise 104. They seem, on their sked, to have less local presence on-air than Kiss does.
