Please correct me if I am wrong but that means that the Stephens Media Company, or what ever they call themselves, is moving out of the HSBC Building to smaller digs?

That wouldn't surprise me considering the company has less staff than CBS did when they owned more radio stations.

As for Clear Channel I still think they made a big mistake by not moving out to Greece, as planned, a few years ago; but that's just my opinion, which that, and 25 cents will buy a stick of chewing gum.

The story going around town is that Wease has been advocating this in-house at 207 Midtown, ever since he arrived over there.

The word is that Wease's old studio in the HSBC building was never taken down--that the furniture and even the tech equipment is still in place, and it'd be essentially a turnkey operation ready to accommodate his new morning show on the Fox when it gets started late this summer or early this fall.

It's also the one place in the city that can handle a half-dozen stations in one place--something Clear Channel needs since it has two AMs (WHAM, WHTK) and no fewer than four FMs (Fox 95.1, Drive 100.5, Kiss 106.7, and whatever they're calling the rimshot country station out in South Bristol on 107.3 these days) in the overall metro cluster.

I believe they also operate Sunny 102 out of the Midtown studios...

It makes good business sense for Clear Channel to move into the former CBS facilities at the HSBC building.
As for Stephens, since they really can not compete against CC and Entercom, it should come as no surprise if the company moves to smaller facilities.

My information is that Stephens will remain in HSBC in downsized facilities, compared with the massive CBS digs. I'm not sure whether the Stephens studios will be carved out of the former CBS floors or if they will relocate to totally new studios.
