As far as I'm aware, there was only one WGST morning show producer who got fired...a year or two ago. The rest quit or were moved into other jobs at CC.

Rick DiLorenzo was the Hughes morning show producer who was fired. DiLorenzo was also Assistant Program Director for Bruce Collins.

On a related note, I am enjoying seeing all the posts from people who are criticizing the new format at WGST. These are exactly the same people who attacked the old format at WGST and demanded that Clear Channel make changes.

Actually I was told that my job had been eliminated. I am actually very greatful to Randall Bloomquist, Mike Wheeler and Jerry Del Core. As a result of my departure from WGST, I was able to become the Executive Producer of News-Talk 750 WSB's KROKTALK with Chris Krok: weeknights from 10PM-2AM.

I thought WGST was a good palce to work, what a difference at WSB. WSB is great!!! I can describe it in two words, true class. WSB is a station of amazing individuals and I feel very privileged to work for the best in Atlanta.

Congratulations, Ricky D. Glad you found a great new gig.

It's interesting that Clear Channel "eliminated" your position, and then hired people to fill your position. They've filled your former morning producer's slot several times, and also hired somebody to fill the assistant program director's position that you say was "eliminated."
 
I know. I thought that it was very funny that I was told the position was eliminated too when they basically hired two or three people to do what had been my job. Oh well.
