Sure, if I'm voicetracking and screw up something, I will ABSOLUTELY back it up and re-do and get it right....why would you NOT?!!
As for whoever said if you were Vt-ing for ClearChannel, you couldn't give it your all knowing it was for CC?
Huh?....WHOEVER you are working for is presumably paying you for your services!! It is your duty to do the best of your ability at all times. If you have a jaded feeling about the company, why on earth would you work for them???! That's just the craziest thing I've heard!
The fact is, voicetracking is actually an excellent avenue for making extra money on the side for the air talent who has extra time on their hands. If you buy into it, do your best, do your research, you can do an excellent show in any market IF YOU TRY. The challenge is always to find creative ways to make it not sound canned. Leaving errors in breaks is not how that is done!
I have done live radio and Vt-ing for a long time and one complaint I have N E V E R E V E R heard was that it sounded TOO PERFECT!
