Clear Channel spending money in Worcester

Sean Davey, Clear Channel Market Manager, announced this afternoon that Paul Westcott is the new morning host at WTAG-AM 580 in Worcester starting on January 21st. The former host, Jim Polito, left for a job at Fox 25 in December.

Jordan Levy has also reupped for another 4 years as PM drive host. In spite of Clear Channel cutbacks elsewhere, they're still live and local in morning and afternoon drive.

And Sean hinted that he is trying to find something for Peter Blute who was one of the many fill-ins while they searched for a new morning host.

Some interesting tweets from @bostonradio about CC

---------------
---Wondering how much of a local marketing push CC is going to put behind 101.7. Me thinks none and it's doomed if that's the case

--Clear Channel is very likely to be sold in parts or as a whole down the road. Hot 96.9 is very much a pre-emptive move by GM

--Clear Channel is massively in debt, it's living on borrowed time. The landscape here and elsewhere may look very different soon.Boston Radio Watch ‏@bostonradio
CC has a debt payment of $10billion,yes $10billion, they have to make in 2016. Fun times ahead. Payback is a bitch.:)
