A thousand jobs may not be a large amount in terms of the 2.9 million the country's expected to lose in 2009, but it's enough to devastate our industry and might certainly go a long way toward convincing others that deregulation has been a failed experiment.
I guess if those who control news outlets are determined to work outside the public trust and manipulate the news content that reaches America, it's probably going to be up to nontraditional media to report on their doings.
Gee, if only there were some way that the average Joe could write something and have it reach a lot of people all at once! Almost like the magic click of a button. We could call that button "send/forward." It would be like a magical web of inter-activity.
