In a FCC Form 315 Transfer Control filing dated today, December 15, 2006, Clear Channel is transferring control of KTRH (740); KBME (790); KTBZ (94,5); KODA (99.1) and KLOL (101.1) to Stock Holders of Triple T Merger Company of Boston, MA. See www.fcc.gov . Is this related to the story in this mornings Inside Radio www.insideradio.com that has a story, "Will Clear Channel need to sell as many as two-dozen big-market stations?" I'm sure that someone who knows what they are talking about will post if the two have any bearing on each other as I know not.

So KPRC, KHMX, and KKRW isn't on there?

And sorry, I don't see any of that info on FCC.gov.

No, not on the list, but KHKS Denton; KIKT Fountain, CO and KZPS Dallas is on the same list.

Go to Media; menu on left go to CDBS Access, go to Search fo Application Information, in Service click on AM Station and in State enter TX (so you get fewer records) and go down to date and enter 12/12/2006 through 12/20/2006 and go to KBME, there are hundreds of pages in the filing, I just took a quick glance.

None of the stations came up with an application except KBME. KHKS's was not for Transfer of Control.

From allaccess:
CLEAR CHANNEL COMMUNICATIONS has filed the formal paperwork to the FCC to transfer the company's licenses from the present publicly-traded entity to the new private company for $37.60/common share (about $26.7 billion) plus assumption or repayment of about $8 billion in debt. The stock is being transferred to BT TRIPLE CROWN MERGER CO., held by THOMAS H. LEE EQUITY FUND VI, LP and BAIN CAPITAL (CC) IX, LP, and the resulting compny will asssume the CLEAR CHANNEL COMMUNICATIONS name.

The filing includes ten separate applications covering CLEAR CHANNEL's various radio ownership entities.

So, I've found a station that is in a cluster "TO BE SOLD", that has a transfer of control to Triple Crown Merger Co., and the other 3 stations in that cluster don't have an applications to be transfered to Triple Crown Merger..... whats up with that?!
