Clear Channel using NBC 30

Was just surfing around and saw on KC 101's website it had a link on their to Storm Closings with the NBC 30 logo not the WFSB 3 logo. Then I went to another CC site KISS 95.7 they also had the same link. I thought WFSB Channel 3 was partners with Clear Channel Hartford? When that started you would hear when the stations did traffic, now your Channel 3 Time Saver Traffic on Country 92.5 same when the radio station said the weather. So Im guessing the contract expired. Anyone know anything about this?

Just was wondering? Guess no one knows anything about this as not many replied.

Dear Hardly the Master of the Obvious. Let's spell it out for you. They made a c-h-a-n-g-e.

Looks like Clear Channel and FOX 61 are teaming up to do traffic together when the FOX 61 Morning Show starts. This as Channel 3 has lost Rachel who has been with WFSB since the start of Time Saver Traffic and Clear Channel.

FOX 61 for Traffic
NBC 30 for School Closings

Does that leave Channel 3 for weather reports and Channel 8 for news reports? lol

Clear Channels way of using the four local stations on their radio stations.

Unless you have a TV in your car I have never been able to figure out why traffic on TV made ANY sense.

As for CC using lots of different TV stations ....it is what you do when you refuse to pay PEOPLE.

A quick check for any major problems before you start your commute, maybe?

Cox Radio (WPLR, WEZN and possibly the others) use Channel 8 for their weather reports.

I guess they are useful if you're at home watching TV and expecting someone to arrive.

I drive 60 miles each way to work. I've always found TV traffic to be useless as circumstances change all too quickly. From the time I get into the car 'til the time I ramp onto the interstate is less than 10 minutes but the driving conditions may have changed significantly.

The local radio station(s) tell me what I need to know.

TV traffic is good only for those waiting for someone to come home...but radio can fill that need as well.
