Clear Channel's Cape Cod Acquisitions

For those of you that do not know about it, check out the thread on the Boston board.

Given the signal overlap and format similarity, does anyone think that CC might simulcast B101 and Cool 102?

Hopefully they flip formats on either 101.5 or 101.9. Clear Channel should flip 101.5 to Hip-Hop/Rhythmic CHR, because they can easily beat Cumulus's HOT 106 on the rather weak 106.3 signal which doesn't have full market coverage. With the population in Rhode Island and Massachusetts becoming increasingly diverse, this format would be completely feasible. Plus, they would be targeting a younger audience which they can sell along with Coast 933. And, they can keep Classic Hits in the Providence area with 101.9 which has a good signal in most of Rhode Island. WWBB and WCIB are both strong signals with much overlap, so keeping both stations as Classic Hits would be overkill.

But, Clear Channel probably wont do that. Lol

We are in an aging market.(see Boston boards for reference)
Find where the money is a plot the course from there.

I know what this market needs, but I ain't spillin' it.
