Clear Channel's new talkers

Well, it looks like that Clear Channel snagged Lex & Terry away from Cox Radio and their new syndication will start either this coming Monday or the next. They say they have 22 or 24 markets locked up for syndication and was wondering if Atlanta may be in the future for these two....Just some food for thought...
______________

Could be a back up plan if the Regular Guys get the boot again.

All they've done is bomb in major markets. Maybe they'll become the princes of minor league radio since Bob and Tom are the kings.

L&T are average at best, one notch above *rick & bubba and a whole flight of stairs below TRGs. It was funny that they accused TRGs of stealing the drunk girl thing from them, that has been done to death at least Larry and Eric saw it as a passing fad and dropped it. L&T are on what? 5 years of that pathetic bit?

If they wanted something a little fresh I heard a show out of Baltimore that was called the Mike & Mike show(I think) that seemed to be an midday fit for a station here.
______________
I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day

You're thinking of the current Don and Mike show (Don's real name is Mike) which is an Infinity owned show. It's also syndicated, but it has a track record of failure in major markets including New York, Philly, San Fransisco and Dallas. The exception is their homebase, Washington DC's WJFK.

as long as the program and audition buttons dont get mixed up by a board op, i see it less than likley...at this point....

Yeah I know, but I rather enjoy that show but most of them do bomb. Its also in how some stations package them as well, 680 is a good example of how not to package a show with the factor on in the middle of sports programming.
______________
