People here keep talking about the need for oldies. I don't know if I've mentioned it here or not, but Clear Channel has a project called Format Lab wherein they experiment with various formats (music, comedy, whatnot). I hear tell that they look at where and how long people listen to the various formats, for use in determining what they might do if they flip a format on one of their stations.
They change the lineup from time to time but there is always an oldies channel of one sort or another. The current incarnation has the Drake 93-KHJ sounder and a couple other bumpers, but otherwise is commercial- and interruption-free.

So there. Stop moaning about the loss of KFRC....
