Clear Channel's Phone Survey

Take this however you want to interpret it but a couple of months ago I received a call for a radio survey about Atlanta radio.

At the beginning were the usual questions: What station do you listen to in the morning, What do you listen to at work (Sorry B98.5 but I didn't vote you as my most listened to station at work) and what do you listen to in the afternoons.

After that I was told that a new station was coming to Atlanta and was asked to listen to 12 different mixes of songs and rate them on a scale of 1 to 10. I also had to state whether it reminded me of any format that was already on the radio in Atlanta.

Next, I was asked several questions about the Atlanta Braves such as whether or not I was a braves fan and if so did I ever listen to them on the radio.

At the very end of the survey all of the questions were about 96 Rock i.e.:

1 - Would you tend to listen to 96 Rock more in the mornings with Whoopi Goldberg's morning show or TRG.

2 - Would I tend to listen to 96 Rock more if they played more new music.

3 - Would I tend to listen to 96 Rock more if they played more older music etc.

This phone survey ended up taking almost an hour and afterwards I felt like the whole survey was really about 96 Rock.

As I said before, interpret this any way you want to because I do not know whether 96 Rock will flip formats or not but I find it very odd that most of the questions were about 96 Rock and none of the other stations.

I've taken several other surveys about radio over the phone before but never anything like this one!

Hopefully someone will take this to heart. I put something on here about them changing th 96 Rock format and people acted like I called te Mom fat. Good Luck and I agree that things are going to change over there.
:)

Don't know if it was CC but I got called today and they asked the fave stations, age and if I'd listened to a Braves game in the last week. Huh? Also asked about the Falcons b'cast

I received a phone call recently and they began to ask me all these different questions about radio stations in Atlanta and did I listen to "this and that," and uh ...by the way...did I tell you I recently saved a whole bunch on my car insurance?

It is called a "format finder" in the research biz. They are collecting info to determine if this is a viable format.

Seriously?  You actually stayed on the telephone for almost one hour being quizzed by a telephone surveyor?

No doubt!  I'd be expecting some type reimbursement for that.  Call me greedy.

Talk about really needing someone to talk to! You are one totally nice guy!
