Clearchannel Cuts - Mpls?

How will next Tuesday's cuts at Clearchannel affect the Twin Cities? Could we actually get something good on KTLK finally?

I can't answer your question but although I feel sorry for people getting cut, the people who DON'T get fired soon should be at least as concerned. Documents CC and Bain-Lee filed with the SEC outline specific severance compensation for people terminated prior to 7/31/09 as part of the merger documentation. If an employee DOESN'T get fired by then, they'll probably get nothing if they're fired after that date.

KTLK is beating KSTPa and WCCO P25-54. Doubt anything will change.

On-Air cuts in the Twin Cities include:
- Chad Hartman: 2-4pm- KFAN 1130
- Darren "Doogie" Wilson: Producer- KFAN 1130
- Mary Gallas "Mary J. McKay": Music Director/Overnights- K102 (KEEY 102.1)
- Derek Moran: PD/Middays 10am-2pm- KOOL 108 (KQQL 107.9)
- Dan Riggs: Nights 6pm-Midnight- KOOL 108 (KQQL 107.9) / Weekends- KDWB (101.3)

I personally have never listened to Chad, Doogie, or Derek. But I have listened to Mary and Dan and let me say they are indeed top of the line DJ's and both had great shows at there own stations. I wish all of them the best of luck and hope they land on there feet at somewhere better then Clear Channel.

I hear Jim has been making the rounds in Grand Forks, Fargo & Bismarck looking to stick his toes under the door again.
