I was going to a local radio of mine where I like to listen to some of clear channel HD channels and my local ones are up. I wonder if they might of put them all up again somewhere.
As mentioned last week, the storm the week before inflicted severe damage on the radomes and heaters of the antennae of several stations... partly because access was closed to Mt Wilson and the site lost electrical power after many surges. Some stations had not yet been able to get adequate fuel up there in the aftermath of the Station Fire, or were still repairing genny sets that were damaged from "smoke inhalation."
While off the air, several stations' antenna elements iced severely, and when power came back were damaged. Using auxiliary antennae and aux transmitters seems to have meant that not all HD stations could get back as many do not have redundant HD transmission capability.
They will eventually return as repairs are made... there are delays at the antenna manufacuturers and the logistics of getting up Wilson are very limiting. And there are not enough riggers to do it all instantly.
There used to be a website that listed all the hd clear channel stations but then after they stopped playing online they got rid of the website so i deleted the address. Does anyone know if there is a new address. I have trouble running the iheartradio site to find channels. ???
