Clearchannel says no closing date in sight! Deal may not happen!

So, Oh Knowledgeable One, what happens if CC doesn't merge?

Serious question. I'm not in the biz, just a listener, so don't fully understand why the merge is being pressed so hard - unless it is for the obvious reason of poor cash flow (or, conversely, too much debt).

Tough to get more gold out of the radio veins as they've already been stripped mine. Selling off stations in the current market will result in more write downs. Best bet is to spin off the outdoor division and make some lemonade out of the beat up shares a lot of CCU employees hold. The Nearly Bald One has enough shares to wallpaper his studios on 24th Street!
