Clearing up the rumor

I need to clear up a rumor that is floating around that I signed a new 5 year contract with CC for 4.2 million dollars. I didn't accept the contract. We had a few issues concerning my driver . CC felt it wouldn't be good for my image to continue having a limo drive me to work for a weekend show.

So if my loyal driver of 12 years was left out of the gig i said " I'm not signing the deal !"
I was forced to let him go and feel terrible about it. I had to display some loyalty towards him.

So the 4.2 id off the table. We are in the process of re-doing the deal and aI will post the results later.
Plus taking that kind of money wouldn't be fair to my audience...would it ?

Did I do the wrong thing ? ???

Don't you know nice guys finish last? You should have told your driver "adios, arrive derci, au revoir and auf wiedersehn", gave him a twenty and sent him packing.

thanks for the advice. I just went to his condo and when he answered the door i slapped the crap out of him...then gave him 100 bucks and a basket of cheese and fruit along with a bottle of Mad Dog 20 -20

thanks

V

you're right. should just a post it note on his said that read " thanks " ;D

oops ! Should put a post it note on his head that read " thanks"...sorry for the typo . i was having a vison and it distracted me

I beg your ( hic up ! ) pardon ? Ya can't trust anyone these days ! Whats wrong with a Lil Grey Goose while i'm workin ? And Diva ? Yeah so what ! I slip on a pair of heels and a wig and i'm rockin baybee ! My producers know that.( hic up !) My bosses know it. All they want is when the mic is open that I'm ready and laying out some verbal karate !

You know how tough it is getting home without a driver ? .......zzzzzzz.. gettng sleepy......ooooh......( camera goes to wide shot and slow motion action as head falls to the tile !....role credits.

I simply realize my picnic basket is a few sandwiches short of a full load.
"Laughter is the lotion for the sunburns of your life" And these carzy times have left burn marks on lots of folks. ......grins and chuckles are like vitamins...... ;D

Love, baby.

Gerry V is IMO the best individual radio announcer currently working in New Orleans radio today. I was playfully teasing with someone who I know works for a company that surrounds him with substandard equipment, facilities and coworkers.
The competition also has plenty of long time chaff they could cut loose to add Gerry V, that would include the angry cross eyed guy who is as tall as Matt Roloff. Entercom could do a reality show, as TLC is big on Dwarfism these days.

The Hornets would be better off with a different radio partnership.

Just remember Gerry, crazy is cool, just don't let them ever think you're senile. ;)

So sayeth Rex.

Rex I knew you were simply " poking the ribs" A sense of humor is always appreciated.Good callers will always be allowed to "work the room"
I like opnions and callers that can enjoy themselves even as they come after me due to one of my opinions. As long as they are not boring.
The give and take is crucial. Yes I am very opinionated and sometimes a lil loud . But it is indeed a joy doing talk radio ( 17 years)
Maybe one day my schedule will allow me to be on everyday again ( 15 of the 17 years was a 3 or 4 hr a day gig)

Now whose turn is it to iron my shirt ? And what wise guy took my meds ??? Where are they ??? Don't make me ask again !

Yak at ya Sat 9-11am and sunday 12-3pm 99.5 WRNO FM

Viva la Revolution ( whatever the %$#!! that means) ???

Mr gerryv, I don't personally know you and I don't get to listen often to your show as I live well outside of 'RNO's range, but you ARE funny. I was driving through on the morning of July 4th and both myself (age 47) and my 14 year old daughter were laughing at whatever you were talking about. In our case, you had appeal across a broad range of demographics. I hate radio talk show hosts who take themselves too seriously.

Thanks for the kind words. Glad you enjoyed the show. Just lovin the gig and trying to make life a lil more enjoyable for the sick freaks that lurk on this site !........Be careful. Bunch of whack jobs are watching and listening. ;)

Don't forget the coconut is a little short on the fuzz too, plus a self-proclaimed God's gift to women. Ask 'em at the casino.

Hail Rex!
