Cleavland Show language

Did I just hear the phrase "cluster f**k" during the Cleavland Show on Fox? Certainly not offended, but I wouldn't have expected that on broadcast TV. Perhaps my ears heard something other than what was actually said...

It was clusterfudge. You can listen on YouTube and it's clusterfudge, though some people will hear the "F-word"

Obviously, substituting a similar sounding word or suffix ("fudge" for "f**k") is an old technique for escaping censorship.

The earliest example of this I can remember was the Officer Krupke song from West Side Story. When the film version came out in the early 60s, profanity was still very much forbidden in theatrical films. The song ends "Gee Officer Krupke - Krup You!" (Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim). I thought that was pretty neat when I was 10 years old. ;D
