Cledus in Nashville?

Some one at CRS brought it up and I was just askin. Come to think of it we did have a lot to drink!

He belongs in hicktown, not a top 10 market.

You're probably right.
He's probably too real, too interesting, too talented, and too honest to be in a market like this one.

You forgot "too not funny."

See, I'm not really looking to have my sides split while driving. I get an occasional chuckle from the guy, that seems sufficient.

I guess I have a pretty simple criteria for whether I find a morning host listenable (and no, I don't know why it's particular to mornings but that does seem to be where I apply it most strictly):
Are they someone I would be interested in hanging out with in a normal situation. Or at least "Would I find having to sit through, say, lunch with them tolerable?" If the answer is no, I quickly find myself wondering why I would inflict them on myself in the close confines of my car ... and start reaching for the buttons.

Cledus is one of the relatively few in the market who've passed that test with me over the past, I dunno, 10-15 years.

Hicktown? Have you ever actually been in Nashville? Or I bet you think we all wear cowboy hats and boots. Hate to say it but our radio sounds better than yours and ours sucks.

Nock

Hey Mayberry sounds better than Atlanta,

Yes, I was actually born in Nash. It has some nice areas, but it still has a real hillbilly aura to it.
