Cletus Show

Is it just me? Or, does there appear to be a problem working with Celtus?

As I understand it AJ had some family issues he had to take care of. And he just couldn't give the time he felt the morning show needed. So, he chose to leave on good terms and let them find a better candidate. Good luck to AJ. May he land a gig doing afternoons.

Always with the "family" issues. He was trying to get another gig before his first day with Cletus.

Really, Scott? First day? How odd! You amaze me with your insight.

Wake up, bozo. Yes he was pressing hard to get a job in North Carolina for quite a while leading up to his debut with Cletus...he was short term anyway. And glad to help your amazement with my insight. No charge.

It has become clear that Scott doesn't know what he thinks he knows about this whole Cannon situation. If he knew what AJ was going through with his daughter he'd have another viewpoint. Gotta guess Scott works for either Citadel or Clear Channel. Either way he doesn't have his story straight.

NOW I see the deal with Scott. He's a PD at an Outer Banks station. Cannon has made it no secret that he's made some calls to the Banks and to the Tidewater Virginia area to see about opoortunities back where he was raised. Sounds like someone he talked to, supposedly under the veil of professional courtesy, is rolling over on him. Hmmmmm. How classy is THAT? lol

A little touchy there, aren't ya, AJ, um, I mean zoom, I mean lipripper?(after all, lipripper seems to be a staunch defender and promoter of AJ Cannon and Team Zoom coincidentally registers his radio-info account on 5/22 and posts a couple of "smokescreen" posts on another Atlanta thread before coming to the supposed rescue of his hero) No worries, but I know what I know and I've presented no story at all, it's you that doesn't have your story straight. No, I'm not the PD at the Outer Banks station you refer to, I used to be the PD there years ago.And there's nothing dastardly or untoward going on Mr. Conspiracy, I still voice some airshifts for them because I live in the Outer Banks and I'm very good friends with the VP/Programming of the station's ownership (who was complimentary of Cannon, btw)whom Cannon has called frequently...including a few times while I was in his office shooting the breeze in the days leading up to his debut with Cletus. He tried to get a job there a couple of years ago and he'd had family complications back then, too. All I said was, "always with the family problems", referring to the fact that he's apparently been plagued with them over the years. But don't fool yourself, he never had any intention of being just the producer of a morning show. He/you would rather be the show. And btw, coming from you, whoever you happen to be, the "classy" comment doesn't mean much. Hope the family is well and that you land on your feet, tho.

Mr. Scott:

#1- Yes, I am AJ. Not Lipripper though he is a dear friend. I just always wanted to talk in third person like a pro athlete. lol

#2- Yes, I am extremely sensitive. My doctor says it may be a side effect from meds.

#3- You are correct about my contacting Outer Banks/Tidewater stations a couple of years ago. Not about any family issues unless you count wanting to get back closer to family an issue... issues and my family go together like O.J. and knives.

#4- Conspiracy is very REAL. I have myself been abducted by aliens many times and LBJ shot JFK.

#5- This info board thang is fun

#6- All the best ... watch out for aliens ... especially that Mothman bastard. He'll leave you needin' eyedrops.

Or like that guy "Jimmy" on Seinfeld

Aren't we all? And for the same reasons.

I hear ya.

I've seen you at the meetings.

It's beats another hole in the head, for sure.

Fortunately, there are several things that necessitate eyedrops, so I have plenty.

It was big of you to admit your identity. Understand I am no adversary. I think the world of Max Radio and the gentleman you've spoken to over the years, Mike "Moose" Smith in the Outer Banks. As for class, Moose has plenty of it. He's a good guy, manager, programmer and friend. Very fair and honest, too. He and I both are of the opinion that a sidekick role is not your calling. Good luck to you.

Thanks Scott. Maybe we can sit down for a Coke-Cola or two one of these days. Speaking of Moose I'm hoping to get up to the Banks with the kid in the next week or so. I'll probably drop in on him. Oh, and the "I've seen you at the meetings" line cracked me up.

We can go snipe hunting and UFO watching when you get here.

Oh, and I didn't mean anything nasty with the "classy" comment. The whole thing was basically some good natured "pickin" on my part. And I have to agree with what you typed about me wanting to BE the show ... unless I'm in a multi-host situation. I've always thought I was a good fit for the number 2 seat so that I could be free to vamp a little more. Do you and Moose think I'm wrong in that self assessment? Maybe I've been selling myself all wrong! lol

I just dont know why everyone has to be so damn critical of AJ, he attempted to do something but something more important, yes mainly family, seemed to be a more of a concern and I think that he did the right thing. Good luck AJ with your daughter yourself and a gig sometime soon.

Easy, Tiger. Everybody kissed, hugged and made up three weeks ago. We've been working on world peace ever since.

Personally I dont like anyhting about the show, I love the new KICKS. I think many have accepted that they had to do what they had to do when they got rid of people and moved people. But I am really enjoying the new KICKS. Sari is doing a wale of a job, still got question about the splitting up of.....7pm to midnight.

I've never listen to any of the country morning shows in Atlanta. And after seeing the billboard of Cletus/Cledus I definitely know I won't be tuning in. The first few times I saw the ad I was wondering if that guy was a musician, a comedian, or was it a joke. He looks like Corky St. Clair from "Waiting For Guffman".

Interesting that if had been a C.C. station who dismantled their station as Kicks did, you all would be ripping them a new one. But since it's Not C.C. oh well, they did what they had to do. Hmmmm.
