Cleveland gets an AAA on a big signal

They probably wouldn't have done a typical AAA out of fear that the classic rock cuts would cross into the Brew's territory and the singer-songwriter currents would cross into WNCI.
When it launched, WRXS was very similar to (non-AAA) "adult" alternative WRFF out of Philly.

That's one of the things that is so unenlightened about CC Columbus. They often seem to go over the deep end trying to avoid anything more than a tiny amount music overlap between their stations. (That's specific to CC Columbus -- by NO means a company-wide issue.) Although, I will admit that they did allow some overlap between the Brew and the original incarnation of 106.7.

Sad to see what's happening to the Smooth Jazz format across the country. :'( At least Columbus still has one on the air.
