Cleveland PPM Ratings May '13 Overall

This is only how stations fared overall in ranking on the 6+ numbers released publicly. I'm staying away from numbers. I wouldn't know specific demos either.

WMJI is still stong at first place. Kudos to Majic for their success.

Baseball is helping WTAM and WMMS as both saw their numbers go up.

WZAK, The Lake, WNCX, Q104, WCLV and WCRF are up. New 102, WCPN and 99X remain flat. WGAR, Z107.9, KISS-FM, The Fan and The Wave are down.

With the Indians in a slump, 'TAM and 'MMS are still expected to perform well, so we'll see what next month brings.

Saw that the Fan went down as well. Possibly out of Browns season sports-fatigue. Both KNR and 923 have seen declines in afternoon drive. Neither registers much of a blip after 7 either. Rizzo is still a monster, while Kiley and Booms remains top 4. I think both stations should consider some programming changes. Baskin and Phelps just have not worked out, either has the Hooligans. Zero "buzz" surrounding either show.

The problem with Baskin and Phelps I think is that both personalities are too vanilla and need a stronger presence paired with them. If it were up to me I would keep Baskin and pair him with Les Levine, Mark Schwab or Dennis Manoloff. If they decided to keep Phelps I would do the same thing. Now I would not get rid of either guy as I would move the other one with Bull. Dustin Fox is downright awful and has not improved.

Agreed on the afternoon show comments and with their two year anniversary looming it'll be interesting to see if The Fan makes any changes. A change to afternoons at KNR would be their 4th in what, 5 years? Hooley is good I think, seems that show just needs a tweak of some sort perhaps? Surprised though that neither station makes a blip after 7pm, as I think both have pretty strong evening programming. I think 3 Deep and Cleveland Sportsnight are probably the 2nd and 3rd best shows on WKNR respectively, I enjoy listening to them both. Ken Carman is arguably the best host on The Fan, though they sure move him around a lot. Wonder if Cleveland Browns daily as the lead in for 3 Deep would have anything to do with their inability to register a "blip."

It would be great if WKNR could get Kenny Rhoda back in prime time. He's my favorite but I really enjoy Greg Brinda every day.

Maybe an earlier slot for Roda. That station is going to need a lot of help with moving Rome to a signal not everyone can get.
