Cleveland September 2023 Overall Ratings

Not really, except WARF continuing it's meteoric rise.
Of course, WARF is an Akron station, with a barely usable signal in much of the Cleveland MSA.

Reactions: Tim
92.3 The Fan got a nice bump thanks to the guys in the orange helmets

Q104 is now lapping Kiss 96.5 in their battle.

Majic got a solid bounce, while the Buzzard had a little hiccup, and WTAM had a decent uptick (people listening to Tito's farewell tour?)

5 iHeart + all 4 Audacy + 1 Urban One = the top 10

Cleveland radio ratings-lather, rinse, repeat. Same old same old.
Still hearing rumblings about a major station(s) sale and it won't benefit the listeners. Lots of crisis talk in the industry.

Either WNWV or one or more of the Audacy stations, I'd bet. I keep hearing that Audacy just wants to concentrate on the top 10 or 20 radio markets so that would eliminate Cleveland.

Both Audacy and Radio One are fighting to keep their stock from being de-listed because prices are falling below a dollar a share.
As far as buyers, let us say it could be pennies from heaven.

I hope you are not saying a potential K-Love 107.9 or Air One 104.1 is coming soon.

Not sure if RCRG would get rid of WNWV as it's doing better with Alternative than whatever JenY was.

Who knows with Audacy and Radio One, especially since both gotten new OMs in recent years.

It’s far more likely that Five-Hour Energy owner Manoj Bhargava could take over Audacy if things go really south. He’s already bought a non-insignificant amount of Audacy and Cumulus stock, owns stock in Gray Television, and is buying up LPTVs all over the country for his NewsNet diginet, including WIVX-LD locally.

I remember people expressing desires for iHeart and Cumulus to sell stations for pennies on the dollar when they entered Chapter 11 a few years ago. But there’s a good reason why they entered Chapter 11 and not Chapter 7.

Any surprises?
No. It just reminds me of why I don't listen to terrestrial radio any more. :(

Based on another thread...I might have to tune into Star 102, just to see if the revamp is a worthwhile listen. We are also closing in on a few stations "Going Holiday Music" for the season.

I bet WMJI goes Friday Nov 10th that is usually around the time they do.
