Cleveland TV Sports

It finally looks like all 4 cleveland TV newsrooms have decent-->good sports departments in the 1st time in forever.

WKYC TV 3 (NBC)

Of course Jim Donovan is "the man" as top man, with Dave Chudowski a respectable weekend guy, Al Pawlowski at #3, Lynn Olszowy as feature reporter, and Sam Rutigliano, Tony Grossi, and Doug Dieken as resident Browns analysts

WEWS TV 5 (ABC)

Solid and steady Andy Baskin (weeknights) and Mike Cairns (weekends) up top, with Andre Knott (reporter/contributor/fill-in anchor), Reggie Rucker (Browns analyst), and Dustin Fox (OSU football analyst) as the support staff

WJW TV 8 (FOX)

The pro's pro John Telich finally has the sports director chair all to himself. New additions P.J. Zeigler (who is probably going to be the weekend guy) and Allie Laforce (feature reporter) now allow J.T. to have some help and a break, and web/tech guy Dan Jovic helps out when needed.

It's possible now with a 3 (4 if you count Jovic) person crew, we may no longer see semi-retired Dan Coughlin doing the high school show on Fridays, nor Tony Rizzo, who has made some noise about coming back on Fridays...we'll see.

WOIO TV 19 (CBS)

Tony Zarrella is solid at sports director, Mark Schwab is energetic if nothing else on the weekends, Cavs TV voice Fred McLeod and Monsters PBP man Ben Holden do some fill-in anchoring during their offseasons, and Bob Golic, Reggie Langhorne, and Hanford Dixon have been the resident Browns analysts at Reserve Square forever.
