Cleveland's Casey Coleman's battle for life

> A very inspiring article about long-time Clevleand
> sportscaster Casey Coleman from yesterday's Plain-Dealer:

Thanks for the link. This has been a pretty gut-wrenching one for those of us in the region, who've literally grown up listening to or watching Casey Coleman. (He used to be on WJW/8 in its days as a CBS affiliate.)

For those who want to keep track of his progress, WTAM itself has a webpage with updates on his condition:

<a target="_blank" href=http://www.wtam.com/caseyupdate.html>http://www.wtam.com/caseyupdate.html</a>

There's an E-Mail link on that page, where people can send get-well wishes and good thoughts Casey's way. He reads them, and WTAM says he really appreciates the kind sentiments.

We occasionally mention Casey on the Mighty Blog of Fun(tm), but the above link is a direct way to keep up with his hopefully improving condition. I truly hope he improves to the point that we're once again able to hear him alongside Bill Wills on WTAM's morning drive show, and as the sideline reporter on the Browns Radio Network.

And if the Cleveland Browns ever do qualify for the Super Bowl, I hope Casey Coleman will be part of WTAM's broadcast team for that Big Game. I can imagine what his post-game comments will be: "I really have to thank God, for He gave me the will to beat the cancer and allow me to be here tonight to help broadcast the biggest event in Cleveland sports history---maybe the biggest event in Cleveland history period---the Browns' First Super Bowl Championship!".

Casey's dad Ken was the longtime TV (and later) radio voice of the Boston Red Sox, calling the 1967 and 1986 American League champions, so we in Boston have added incentive to wish Casey all the best.
