I wonder if 98.9 shouldn't try smooth Jazz again with Voltair.
Good idea, but the demos would skew too high. SJ was already the B/EZ format of the '90s and it ain't getting any younger.

And it also depends on what the definition of "success" is for Click. It's certainly not going to be the station to knock off the market leader...

Seriously Click? I don't know what your definition of success is, bbut pick a format direction and stick with it! Oh d if you're going play 80s then dump the modern music slogan.
Lighten up, Francis...oops, I mean Bob. They're still playing the same stuff but "spicing" it up with retro cuts. I kinda like it, actually but I'm clear out of the target demo.
That's the only tangible measure of success around here. Only a couple of people who contribute to this board understand that you don't have to be number on 6+ in order to be a winner.
Well I bet if you ask 4 out of 5 market GMs they would say that what has happened at Click is not success. It's so funny and sad to watch the floundering there. I mean the first PD was a joke and was blown out before a year. Then the brilliant idea of bringing on some big time morning show... Strike 2 - now a 3rd PD who let hope gets a chance to last longer than the milk in the fridge. Guess Marc got tired of getting their assesses handed to them and decided to add some 80s even at Warm too...guess those reports on Allaccess are right - will Hubbard be bringing in a new market GM?
I'm not sure if that applies here though, Lisa Adams has at least 10-12 years experience, some of which was programming KLSY.
Oh no, it's not about her at all. I just thought it would be interesting to sample some of the employment listings on their webpage, as some of the RD members have referenced to some of the hiring practices at Hubbard media in the past.
That's true. In fact, here's a thread about the same job you're referring to: http://www.radiodiscussions.com/showthread.php?685258-Movin-s-hiring!-NO-EXPERIENCE-NECESSARY!!!
Now, for a reality check: This job is a "sidekick" position which most radio people know is often a hire with no experience so a morning show can get a MOS (man-on-the-street) personality in the mix.
As a general rule, there is no way - NO WAY - most major market stations would hire someone with no experience for a top position. Hubbard COULD be different, however...![]()

Makes sense. From the description, it looks like applicants are also expected to facilitate traffic reports, along with other duties that might be difficult for a newbie to jump into. I'd assume they have some grace period for the applicant to polish some of those skills.
Which begs the question why the experts here on this board don't apply for more of the openings (not singling you out, fordranger).
