Besides the AD is misleading: "Am stations with FM quality". This is false. They should have said "sounds as good as streaming on dial-up". :

It's the same kind of false advertising on Amazon.com/hdradio. I tried to put my review on CC, but I still get an error - Crutchfield still refuses, RS took a month, and it was no problem getting it on Amazon, which of course, would have the most exposure.

I clicked, and learned that the 10 closest CC stores don't have any HD Radios.
Other then that, the "information" was all a copy of iBiquity's and HD cartel's false sales hype and lies.
Some people will do anything to peddle a defective, destructive product.

this type of thing will only damage the industry futher.....whos really behind this effort.?? and to what end....?

I know as a fact that yesterday,a group of people began contacting major retailers. armed with some of the related factual information requesting (suggesting) it be reviewed by their marketing departments and legal people...

some of the areas covered were the public broadcasting corp., request for a study of the interference issue along with the am issue of night time...the reduced footprint ect.

Yeah I think I need to get some more info from him on this one.. I cant find ANYTHING on it. I have a Polk Audio I-Sonic next to me right now (just arrived last night) and I'm honestly not impressed by HD Radio's sound. Can't find an HD-2 station anywhere either.

Fair point and if the only thing that HD offered was a transition to digital content I'd agree that it would be a total waste of time. I am looking forward to the new Sangean HD tuner so that I can really listen properly to a HD signal on a high end system. What the FM HD's do offer is the possibility of more otherwise unavailable programing. It's very much a work in progress and so far the jury is out. If I were a average consumer I wouldn't waste my money on a new expensive radio until first more radios were available and second more stations start programing HD 2 and 3 streams. I see too many of these exciters being tweaked and turned on and off, too often and the receiver roll out is taking forever. I hope it takes off because of what it can offer but I am a bit concerned by the slow pace of developement.

Gee! Do ya really think that's the case? I can't imagine why. Off the air? Reboot that exciter!

Since I knkow that you like this technology as much as you do, be concerned. Be very concerned.

Also be very concerned about some of the lower power AM stations that are on 30 KHz. adjacent channels to big market guns that have turned on IBOC when you see how unhappy they are about having their sidebands interfered with in what they consider to be their primary coverage areas.

Just wait until the legal troubles start between broadcasters (forget iBiquity for the moment). Holy cow, Batman!
