ClickHop/Fort Wayne about to go in Rewind?

I know this would never happen but I would try a AAA format on 106.3, Giving that Oasis has Country on 93.3 and AAA kind of touches alt-country artists, It would be something different for Fort Wayne

I knew the Click Hop thing was just a fad. It was an interesting idea but something I could see working in a more hip place like Chicago. Not that Fort Wayne isn't a hip city (for anyone who says it isn't, there are plenty of less-hip places... Trust me, I know) but I don't think it was ready for a station like Click Hop.

Russ is certainly trying to run the stations on a show string with many of jocks having duties on multiple stations. I'm not sure how that will work in the long run. One thing I can say from experience is that it will lead to confusion and burn out. They're going to get worked to death if they're not careful.

I wish them well... I'm just not sure how this is going to play.

And also isn't really that big anymore considering almost the songs on Clickhops playlist are songs that we heard in 2007/2008 their are some new ones on their but not enough to maintain two hip hop stations in the Fort Wayne market the ratings say so:

From All Access: Ratings are from 01-14-13

Wild 3.7

Clickhop 1.5

And Hot 107.9's website is gone its just now streaming their station. Very Interesting

If you know of a place that is un-hip enough that I would NEVER have to be subjected to hip hop music again, please let me know so I can find a realtor.

Columbus has a 'Rewind' (103.5/104.3) and it is an 80's-early 90's classic hits station.

How about an Alternative station.... The Fort used to have 96.3 years ago,,, now Alternative fans dont really have an option aside from THE BEAR and WMEE for any New Rock at all

There's a fan base for alternative in Fort Wayne but I think you'd find ad dollars don't follow the fan base.
when 102.3 was an alternative station it had listeners; however I think they all went to either satellite or internet-based radio for their format.

Alternative is suffering nationwide. The new product isn't mass appeal like it was 15 years ago, and it's too small of a niche in most places. Plus, as Juan points out, it's a tougher sell than it used to be because the audience that likes today's alternative isn't what most advertisers are looking for.

I listed to WMEE"s stream this afternoon. I can assure you that they are not alternative. Adult CHR is what I would call them.

More changes at Oasis Radio Group "New Country 93.3 adds Bob and Sheri to its morning drive.

http://www.bobandsheri.com/bobandsheri/index.aspx

Next, WJFX weekender (and YouTuber) Andrea Russett takes Caden's night shift.

While Clickhop remains Jockless

I still haven't found the numbers that were released last Thursday Anybody know how Clickhop is doing in the ratings?

From Indiana RadioWatch:

Later today, Oasis Radio Group's Rhythmic/WHPP (106.3fm, Columbia City) will flip formats to 1990s pop, as "Rewind 106.3." Core artists include Christina Aguilera, Boyz II Men, Janet Jackson, N*SYNC, Britney Spears and T.L.C. Oasis GM Phil Becker will handle middays while Oasis Production Director Chris Cruise will take PM Drive. As for WHPP's current "ClickHop.com," that moves exclusively online (oddly enough at http://www.clickhop.com/) under new PD (and web guru) Wes Teska.

The station sounds incredible. It sounds a lot like a Rhythmic AC station with lots of dance hits from the '90s. It's too good to be true though. It won't last. :(

If they do what Columbus and Cincinnati do which is play 70's through early 2000's they will last a while. 90's by itself hasn't done too well in most markets.
