CLZ: the old MGX under a new name?

Answer me this: If the ole 'MGX was doing so badly in the ratings that Saga flipped it to the Coast...why does the "new" CLZ sound a whole lot like the old 'MGX? I'm not being critical here: radio is a business and I'm wondering what the rationale was behind this business decision.

Or...do the programming folks at CLZ actually think they're doing something different ('cause different is good)?[i.e. is this just a case of misguided PD/upper management)?

Not to be disagreeable, but the music on the old 'MGX was nowhere near as broad as 'CLZ is now. MGX was basically a watered-down Jack, while CLZ is still solidly AAA. Sure, Tad might be gone (thank Jahweh), but the Saga folks know the format better than Brian James did.
