When at the South Jersey shore my two favorite stations are WMID and WCMC, yesterday when I had WMID on they broke for phillies baseball, so I figured I would tune in WCMC only to find out they were simulcasting the game with WMID. Why is this?? don't both signals overlap and generally cover the same areas, although I can pick up WCMC in Philly most of the time. It was frustrating not to hear my favorite music when I was there, why do the owners simulcast the game on two stations sort of similar in format...

Is 102.3 WAIV still airing the Phillies games along with WMID & WCMC?

Not really. During the day, yes. But at night, on low power (when most Phillies games occur), WCMC is hard to get in AC and WMID hard to get in Cape May.

They stay at the same power around the clock, but you do have a point, the coverage area decreases in the evening.

Last I checked, WAIV was 100% simulcast w/ WAYV, no more Phillies on FM (at least in South Jersey)<P ID="signature">______________
