CMT and The Dukes/ BJ and the Bear

So CMT is dumping the Dukes.Cmt has gone in the direction of MTV,Nick at Nite and numerous other networks. I am so sick of the Fresh Prince.
Does anyone know why BJ and the Bear has never been syndicated? If CMT wants to go in the direction of one hour tv shows. This would be a good fit.Until they air it into ground like the Dukes.

BJ and the Bear has been syndicated in both hour long episodes and also 30 minute episodes as 2 parters (presumably because of the low amount of episodes so they had to do it with the 2 parters to gain the syndication quota). This happened also with Sheriff Lobo that starred Claude Akins and was the spinoff of BJ and the Bear and on some stations they alternated both shows in syndication like having BJ and the Bear on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays while airing Sheriff Lobo on Tuesday and Thursday or in some cases vice versa.

Maybe ION is looking in on picking up Dukes of Hazzard after its run on CMT is over this summer. Hopefully to replace Moral Court. (which doesn't belong on ION)

"BJ McKay...and his best friend Bear!" (a monkey!) was a great show.
I'd love to see someone make a movie of it (since other classic shows have ended up redone on the big screen...)
