CMT To Debut New Scripted Sitcom

We knew this would eventually happen: The (sometimes) country music network is developing a new sitcom scheduled to debut next year. Coincidentally, its star will be Melissa Peterman, who is a mundane presence on the network from awards shows to hosting "The Singing Bee."

According to http://www.broadcastingcable.com/article/455916-CMT_Greenlights_First_Scripted_Series.php:

"Peterman will portray a single blue collar mom who has recently moved her family to a rich suburban neighborhood to try and provide a better life for her kids, while proudly retaining her ‘working class' roots."

The show will be titled "Working Class." (I guess "Hot In Mayberry" was a rejected title. ::) )

"Scripted Sitcom" -- are there any other kind, as 99% of all sitcoms follow a script?

verses scripted "reality" show I suppose. What's behind all this attention that CMT is playing to Peterson? Is Reba pushing this? Everything I have read about her said she was a "successful" standup comic, but I had never heard of her until her Barbara Jean character on Reba's TV show.

Wasn't that the premise of Who's the Boss?
