CMT

Say what you want about CMT not showing a lot of Music Videos anymore and showing a lot of Reality Shows, Game Shows, and movies, but I have to give them props because during their music video block this morning, I notice they're keeping the title and artist of the song at the top of the screen through-out the video. - Do they do this on their CMT Pure Country Channel too? I don't get CMT Pure Country. It's in a more expensive tier on the cable.

Gee, I wonder if sister networks MTV and VH1 are following suit... I wonder if they, too, are showing music videos in the morning...

MTV and VH1 both have a morning block of videos.
I see it on at the gym sometimes. I think I saw some "Headbanger's Ball" reruns too...

MTV also runs three channels dedicated to music videos: MTV-U, MTV Jams & MTV Hits. I occasionally tune them in on Verizon Fios, but tune out because I'm reminded why I don't mind MTV not running videos. :p :D ;)

I'm sure Marc wouldn't be able to watch those channels, since they're probably on the more expensive tier of his cable system...

The other morning, I saw Nickelback at #18 on some kind of CMT countdown show.
Nickelback was big in pop, weren't they?
Then there's the whole Lady Gaga mess.
So I see what yall are saying about the relative value of music videos and music video channels today.

CMT stinks,GAC is not great anymore I miss TNN,Nashville Now,Crook and Chase and all the other great shows.to bad they sold out from Gaylord and got trashed.I rather see hours of music videos then watching reality crap about nobody I know.Btw ,here we go again with Illusions again.

Hey, be grateful that they're at least still showing music videos in major hours.

By the way, I saw a promo on VH1 that they would be debuting a new Katy Perry video on Tuesday at 8 PM. Without even checking the TV listings, I bet it will be immediately followed by one of VH1's reality shows at 8:03 PM.

VH1 world-premiering a new video. Remember when MTV used to specialize in that? Although, to be fair, they did debut the new Eminem video last week - in fact, last Saturday night at the godly hour of midnight.

I don't know which song was on the countdown you saw, but there's a Nickelback song that we play at Illusions that sounds vaguely Country.
I don't know either, but it said Nickelback a couple times scanning by.
I was in the hospital, so I wasn't sure for a minute, then it kept on happening, so I believed it. It lasted longer than the other more fleeting hallucinations/thoughts that morning.

Years back,On TNN Country News or This Week In Country Music,I found out my all time fave singer Stevie Nicks was going on tour,It was not from MTV News or VH1, and I think CMT was not on the air at that time.I have to agree, DToTheJ some is better then none.
