CNN 1190

Hi

CNN 1190 has flipped back to classic country, I talked to J.D. Freeman earlier and he told me about the change.

Now I'm hearing classic country. Must have been that CNN news break on the top of the hour. They are still
running CNN news at the top of the hour.

That's makes as much sense as the XM comedy channel playing Ventriloquist Comedian Jeff Dunham... It doesn't play well over the radio...

Ah what the hells going on here? ??? I heard "Marina Del Ray" into "Your The Reason God Made Oklahoma" and then it was stopped halfway, and then they started playing another song.. then that song was cut off at 2:30 pm for CNN news.

It sounded like someone was skipping through a CD. This is sorry programming. Its no excuse for CC to run 1190 like a 250w daytimer when they have plenty of corporate programming that can be used.

The CC Slumlords still have no clue how to run 1190. Hire a few veteran DJ's like the KKUS "The Ranch" in Tyler or KWKH in Shreveport does, then promote it and you might have a good classic country station. Or better yet just put on Scott Shannon's True Oldies on 1190.

Listening on line. They did,'t even do a TOH ID at 3pm. They just went to CNN TOH News.

You are not the only ones that deal with CC's mismanagement I'm in LA and KTLK (ProgTalk) is plauged by much dead air from time to time.

3:07 They cut off a spot to start a brokered radio show. The announcer is still labeling the station at CNN.

Let's see... music on AM radio in the age of the ipod... or live news of some kind. hmmm... which would make more sense?

CNN headline news is not good for radio anymore, but it's better than music. Does AP still offer an all-news service for radio?
